My six-year-old daughter chose some motifs from manuscripts. The lower border is from an eleventh-century ketubah. Her name is in a lettering style is extrapolated from the ninth-century Utrecht Psalter.
Typical of her age group, Melanie was attracted to clouds and palaces.
